Double chin correction

This procedure is normally done under local anaesthetic and sedation. It usually takes about three weeks for the swelling to settle down and there is minimal discomfort.

The procedure is ideal for patients who have good quality skin and well defined fat deposits. Should the skin be loose and flabby (the 'turkey gobbler' deformity) it may be necessary to remove the loose skin surgically.

Fat is suctioned out by means of a very fine blunt metallic tube.

The end result is a pleasing jaw line and a lovely angle between the chin and the neck.
